Power electronic converter systems play an important role in renewable energy sources such as solar, wind energy conversion systems etc. In this context, reliability analysis of converters will be significant. Several researchers have made reliability prediction techniques of various components in the different configurations with various switching devices like IGBT, MOSFET etc. However, it appears that reliability analysis of Micro inverter and Interleaved fly back inverter have not been dealt with so far. In this paper, it is proposed to develop reliability modeling and evaluate the basic probabilitistic indices and measures of Micro inverter and Interleaved fly back inverter configurations using switched redundancy and cutset methods. Moreover, malfunctioning effects of switching devices has been also taken into consideration which was not dealt with in the literature so far. The results obtained for the configurations of micro inverter and interleaved flyback inverter have been presented and analysed using switched redundancy and cutset approaches.
