The recent advent of Smart Grid has influenced the creation of Big Data in the field of energy consumption and also have influenced the security concerns with the User data. Smart Grid facilitates an efficient and reliable end to end two-way delivery system. The electricity consumption for an individual user is available at real time. It also, enables real-time monitoring and controlling of power system from utilities perspective, which helps them reducing the power losses. So, it is going to replace the old methodologies of sharing electricity, to fulfill the exponential needs of electricity in terms of flexibility, reliability and quality, etc. Therefore the inheriting this advanced power system of electricity grid, alongside communication and networking mechanism in smart grid is taken up in order to exponentially increase the existing of network of smart grid in upcoming time. The success of smart grid mainly depends on its communication. The architect and developer has to make sure that every single smallest entity is in connection with every other part in the smart grid in order to maintain a successful architecture. But in modern era whenever we talk and work on any sort of data, it comes up with its own challenges to secure the data and maintain the Integrity, Confidentiality and Availability. Using this sort of communication which makes one reliable on the technology data from the distress regarding security and further the aspects of privacy also jumps into the scenario. The aim of the study is to find out the different sort of possible attacks on Smart Grid and it’s solution.
