Combined with the analysis of the ray model, a design method of Fabry-Perot resonant antenna constructed with a non-uniform superstrate using simple structural elements is proposed. The designed unit structure has suitable reflection phase frequency characteristics in the working frequency band and constitutes a phase gradient cladding structure, which satisfies the broadband resonance condition of the resonant cavity antenna. The correctness and effectiveness of the method are verified by the calculations results.
