A high gain and high isolation W-band antenna array has been presented for radar applications targeting unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The gain of the array is enhanced by the proposed substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) structure. While the high isolation is realized by the proposed electromagnetic band-gap (EBG) technique. Measurement results of the 12 × 8 antenna array show a gain range of 25.1 dB ~ 26 dB and an transmitting-to-receiving isolation better than −65dB within the frequency band of interest (93 GHz ~ 95GHz).
