In the analysis of the primary inter-turn short circuit fault of the magnetic barrier primary permanent magnet linear motor (MBPPMLM), the analysis of the primary short circuit loop current is mainly carried out. Firstly, this paper gives the model of motor fault. Secondly, based on the finite element analysis, the influence of fault and different short-circuit fault location on motor performance such as short-circuit ring current, phase current, average thrust and thrust fluctuation under different short-circuit ratios is obtained.
