This paper investigates downstream transmission of 112Gb/s coherent next generation-passive optical network (NG-PON) technology. The analytical behavior of NG-PON architecture based optical network is simulated over multiple end users by deploying different dual polarization phase shift schemes, based on 2 and 4 constellation points. We analyzed optical network in a 60 km fiber configuration and numerically measured the performance in terms of receiver sensitivity, bit error rate (BER), optical signal to noise ratio (OSNR) and constellation diagram.
