In this work, a humanoid-shaped monopole antenna is presented. The proposed antenna radiating element is of a humanoid-shaped component, and it's supported with a defective ground structure. The developed antenna is compact with footprints of 30×20×1.5 mm 3 and is fabricated on a jean fabric material with a relative permittivity of 1.78. The antenna is excited with a 50-ohm microstrip feed line and works at dual frequencies of 3.5 and 8 GHz in Wi-MAX and X band applications. The operating frequencies are achieved by introducing circular and rectangular slots in the semicircular structure of the patch. The compact size on a textile material with an artificial inspired design is the novelty of the current work. The antenna is validated in the anechoic chamber, and an acceptable match between the measurement and simulation is observed. It also has a decent gain and efficiency; those are needed for excellent functionality in the resonating frequencies.
