A miniaturized dual-band bandpass filter (BPF) based on folded short-circuited stub-loaded step impedance resonator (SIR) and uniform impedance resonator (UIR) has been presented in this letter. The centre frequencies are 3.45GHz and 4.9GHz which compatible with the 5G communication. The proposed filter is compact and highly independent due to its hybrid feed scheme. At the same time, the source-load is coupled to introduce transmission zeros which improves the suppression of the filter. Besides, the loaded rectangular defected ground structure (DGS) can be used to adjust the impedance matching which is more flexible in design. The test verified the presented filter has good performance, and the measured results show a good agreement with the simulated results.
