Occupancy detection is an important factor in conserving energy in buildings and controlling devices efficiently. Currently, sensors for occupancy detection have limitations in that they are expensive or the performance of occupancy detection algorithms is insufficient. Therefore, in this paper, an occupancy detection algorithm with an average accuracy of about 89% was developed using a smart plug that can be used in daily life and a simple LSTM model.
