Bulk samples from the Ti 3 AlC 2 MAX-phase powder were obtained by selective laser sintering (SLS). The samples were studied using optical and electron microscopy techniques, as well as X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy analysis. This study allowed describing the elemental and phase composition, and the morphology of both the initial powders and SLS-samples. The SLS parameters are established at which the maximum yield of the MAX phase in the SLS-samples is observed.
