DNA sequencing is one of the most important technologies of modern times, yet rapid, accurate, and cost-efficient techniques have been slow to be developed. One of the more recent advances takes advantage of semiconductor sensors in the determination of the sequence of base-pairs in targeted DNA molecules. Here we present a novel design and TCAD simulation-based study for a 7nm Gate-All-Around (GAA) nanowire MOSFET that detects charge variations of component nucleotides in a DNA structure.
