We construct a strong dissipative acousto-optic interaction in a whispering-gallery-mode microcavity and a suspended microfiber. The dissipative response presents an improvement by two orders of magnitude compared with the dispersive acoustic response. Moreover, dead points with zero responses appear under certain parameters. This strong dissipative interaction is applied in ultrasensitive ultrasound detection, which is proved to be insensitive to quality factors.
