This paper clarified the half-bridge dc-dc converter's surge voltage generation mechanism and validated the performance of a half-bridge power device embedded module (HB-PDEM) for surge voltage suppression. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed half-bridge power module achieved an extremely low parasitic inductance and effectively suppressed the surge voltage.
