The fuel supply market is significant due to the large volume of transactions carried out daily, thus being a significant fraudster attraction. Malicious entities can tamper with fuel dispensers, modifying the amount of fuel delivered to the consumer. In this context, this article proposes a solution for the metrological surveillance of fuel dispensers based on sensors embedded in a typical vehicle. A Kotlin API was developed to collect vehicle data from an OBD-II (On-Board Diagnostics) reader that establishes communication between the vehicle and a computational cloud. As a proof of concept, an application prototype based on the Android operating system was developed to detect refueling events and assess whether it is in accordance with what the consumer requested.
