New Results for Stability Analysis of Time-Delay Nonlinear Systems Represented by Exact Takagi-Sugeno Models

This paper addresses the problem of stability analysis of constant time-delay nonlinear systems rewritten as exact Takagi-Sugeno models. More relaxed sufficient conditions for stability analysis in terms of linear matrix inequalities have been obtained combining a novel non-quadratic Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional with an artificially extended system modelled in a Takagi-Sugeno. The Lyapunov functional analysis makes use of the very well-known Finsler’s lemma. An academic example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness and advantages of the presented approach in comparison with other approaches.
