A compact, active wideband printed dipole with non-Foster circuit and matching transformer has been designed in this paper. Parasitic elements have been added to the dipole to broaden its bandwidth. The antenna has been miniaturized by non-Foster circuit to cancel the reactance of the antenna and impedance transformer to convert the impedance to 50 Ω in low frequency. The influence of interface transmission line between antenna and circuit has been analyzed. The simulation results show that VSWR of the antenna is less than 2 for the frequency range of 0.52-2 GHz. The operating frequency band of the antenna is decreased from 1.7-2.7 GHz to 0.52-2 GHz, which verifies the effectiveness of non-Foster circuits in antenna miniaturization.
