Fish and shrimp virus infection, water acidification, cold and heat waves are common problems in traditional aquaculture industry. In order to reduce the loss of aquaculture, it is necessary to develop smart aquaculture through various water quality sensors, internet of things(IoT) and information communication technology, and big data analysis. However, today’s smart aquaculture monitoring technology still cannot meet the needs of the aquaculture industry, because many water quality environmental parameters are controlled by IoT companies, and the network costs derived from the maintenance of water quality sensors and large amounts of data are borne by the aquaculture industry. Besides, he traditional monitoring of water quality parameters cannot immediately reflect the current water quality of the aquafarm. In view of this, it is practical and valuable to develop a water sensing system of unmanned surface mobile vehicle(WSSUSMV).The WSSUSMV proposed in this paper is equipped with four water quality sensors(including dissolved oxygen, pH, water temperature, and oxidation-reduction potentiometer). It can not only make up for the lack of real-time monitoring of water quality at fixed points in the aquafarm, but also monitor and upload water quality parameters in real time through the IoT device. In addition, we have also designed a special webpage to graph the sensing values, and provide users with real-time viewing of the water quality dynamics of the aquafarm through mobile devices or remote computers. The results in this paper can help to improve the overall efficiency, success rate and income of the aquafarm at the level of intelligent control.
