In order to produce the 2-D photonic crystal structure that meets the demand of optical band, the mixed solution of phosphoric acid and oxalic acid was selected to prepare PAA template. PAA template is an alumina membrane with nanoscale array structure. By adjusting oxalic acid concentration in 1wt% phosphoric acid solution and monitoring current change during anodic oxidation, a PAA template with adjustable array period and highly ordered array units was completed. Due to the requirement of photonic crystal structure, PAA template should be separated from the aluminum plate and the array hole should be through hole. Step-by-step voltage decrement method was used for post-treatment, and the relationship between the through-hole condition of PAA template and the treatment time of 1wt% phosphoric acid solution was studied.
