Clean and efficient utilization of coal-fired power is an important way to achieve the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutralization in China, and coal-fired power plays a fundamental role in the safe and stable operation of the power system. In this paper, we propose a method for optimizing the power generation of coal-fired power with considering the effect of coal quality on boiler combustion efficiency and auxiliary power consumption rate. A clear criteria is also proposed to reduce the difference between actual and expected power generation, so as to improve power generation and obtain the optimal fuel management decision. The numerical tests optimize the power generation in a day for a 600MW coal-fired power unit. The numerical results show that the power generation is improved due to the dynamically optimizing the blended coal hourly.
