We demonstrate the first co-propagating wave optomechanical ring resonator based on a hybrid piezo-optomechanical platform of zinc-oxide and boron-doped gallium phosphide where highly confined phonons and photons circulate and resonate simultaneously, leading to significantly enhanced optomechanical interaction.
