The methodology is intended to solve the problem of the layout solutions' optimisation of high heat flux on-board radars' structures of small-sized aircraft forced air cooling systems with a limited air flow. The methodology is characterized by a systematic approach and includes solving the external and internal problem of providing the normal thermal regime of the airborne radar structure via optimizing its layout solutions at the early stages of design. The solution of the external problem is the determination of the permissible aerodynamic drag of the structure, with a restriction on the cooling air flow. The solution of the internal problem is the determination of the optimal layout design. The optimisation criteria is the minimum temperature of the airborne radar components, with a restriction on the aerodynamic drag. The field of application of the results obtained is the systems of forced air cooling of electronic devices and devices operating under conditions of a limited flow of cooling air.
