This paper complements a study initially made by the authors [1] on double stator vernier machines by introducing a dynamic simulation and presents the results of simulation of vernier machines, having flux concentration magnetization pattern of permanent magnets in Matlab/Simulink. Two machines are compared in generator mode, namely with one and two stators, carrying winding. The developed model allows to study various modes of operation and can be used in a design stage for estimation output parameters of the machines. The vernier machines are notorious for their high inductances, so reactive power compensation by series capacitors is considered for more efficient power take-off. The simulation results show that the double winding machine has higher output power as well as higher power factor. The article presents the results of modeling the operation of generators in the form of simulation oscillograms of EMF, current and power under different load conditions.
