This study is aimed at the applying of 2G HTS tapes in the magnetic system of non-contact bearing. The levitation properties of HTS bulk and HTS tape are measured experimentally. The properties were used for modelling magnetic system with different HTS elements. As a result, force characteristics of magnetic bearing with HTS bulks and HTS tape are obtained and compared.
