In this paper Finite Element method based Simulation has been used to Design, and Development of Permanent Magnet Linear synchronous motors (PMLSM) and to determine the fields and forces act. This has been used for predicting performance parameters such as torque, back EMF, stator and rotor losses. The paper first presents an analytical Solution along with a numerical solution for two dimensional field distribution problems. Analytical Expressions for field distributions have been derived numerically using Fourier Series Method. A numerical solution is obtained based on Finite Element Analysis.
