Electric mobility is a globally viable way to reduce carbon emissions in the transportation business. Global travel seems to be the leading contributor to gas emissions on this planet. Electric vehicles provide several environmental benefits, as well as the ability to manage the voltage, frequency, and reactive power of a power system. Despite all the benefits, the nonlinear loads such as electric vehicles (EVs) are marked by unpredictability, putting pressure on the distribution network, especially when EVs are widely used in smart metering. The interspersed features of electric automobiles may pose a slew of difficulties to the power network. Lithium mining, which is used to make lithium batteries, has an impact on ecosystems and human health. While the high penetration of EVs in smart grids reduces environmental stress to some extent, the potential danger of electrical system operation is also heightened since EVs demand a considerable quantity of power to recharge their batteries.
