A marker-based augmented reality (AR) enabled online electronics purchasing web application is presented in this paper to provide users with an intuitive and interactive shopping experience. The proposed system allows users to see how the electronics product will look in real life by scanning markers on them with the camera of a mobile device and overlaying 3D virtual models of the products on the screen. The application gives clients detailed information about the items, including specifications, reviews, and pricing, and allows them to add the items to their cart and purchase them directly from the web application. By providing users with a more realistic view of the products they are interested in and reducing the likelihood of dissatisfaction due to erroneous expectations, the proposed system aims to enhance the experience of online shopping. A user study was used to assess the effectiveness of the proposed system. It found that people preferred the AR-enabled shopping experience to the traditional online shopping experience.
