This paper presents a valley current-controlled constant on-time buck converter. Fixed on-time was generated through the constant on-timer, and minimum off-time was obtained through the min off-timer to ensure the stability of the entire loop. Also, the buck converter contains an average current sensing block that detects load current. The average current sensing scheme uses only the output of the current sensing block. The proposed buck converter is designed in a bipolar-CMOS-DMOS (BCDMOS) 180nm process and covers an area of approximately 1.3 × 2 mm 2 .
