Modern technology has recently provided a precision treatment modality in the HDR remote afterloading system. This gives very important information such as highly accurate positioning of the source location and of the stationary time. This work describes the availability to use a charge-couple device camera-plastic scintillator system, and investigates the possibility for it to be a tool for quality assurance. For quality assurance, this method could measure the stationary time to an accuracy of 1/30 seconds. The position of the source location and movement could be measured within the resolution of error margins in recommended values of quality assurance. This system could be developed to be a simple and easy-to-handle measurement tool for clinical HDR. In addition, this tool can observe in real-time and obtain the time structure of source location and movement.
