In this study, nanocomposites based on dynamically vulcanized polypropylene (PP)/ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM) thermoplastic elastomer and multi wall carbon nanotube (MWCNT) were fabricated via melt mixing process. The effects of CNT content, CNT feeding rout and dynamic vulcanization on the complex permittivity were considered. The complex permittivity was measured at the X-band frequency (8.2–12.4 GHz) via performing waveguide measurements. Both real and imaginary parts of the complex permittivity and also the loss tangent increased by increasing CNT content. The electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding of the nanocomposites were evaluated showing that in all samples absorption has a major contribution in the shielding effectiveness.
