In this paper is described the modeling of an addiction recovery healthcare system using a tool known as PArchitect. PArchitect is a modeling software that emphasizes value-based design. First is explained the prior work done on this project, which included the selection of a case study and its modeling using process-based and information-based approaches. As the chosen healthcare system employs case management, that organizational tool is described. The meaning and benefits of value-based modeling is next presented. This is followed by a discussion of PArchitect, the software platform used in this project. A brief overview of the system under investigation, an addiction-recovery service, is presented. The resulting model is set out and detailed. Finally, proposed future work is discussed.
