This paper studies channel uncertainty effects on the regenerative decode-and-forward (DF) wireless relay network. A wireless network consisting of a one-source, N-multihop relays, and one-destination without the direct link between the source and the destination is studied. Detection schemes are proposed using the power constraints, and designed for a network experiencing uncertain channels. The proposed detection schemes employ the maximum ratio combiner (MRC) principle. It is applied at relays to optimally detect the originally transmitted messages from the source, and at the destination to optimally detect the relays' transmitted messages. Using the proposed MRC detection schemes, Monte-Carlo simulations are presented to evaluate the system performance. Different levels of channel uncertainty, locations of uncertainty and different number of links experiencing uncertainty were studied. Some existing detectors were simulated for comparisons purpose.
