Light-emitting polymers typically possess the π-conjugated light-emitting units to allow the light absorption, energy transfer and light-emitting processes. Currently, the main chain conjugated polymers are mainly investigated but they seldom mention about how stereoregularity affect the light-emitting condition. Consequently, we synthesize the side chain conjugated monomer(9,9-dialkyl-2-(4-vinylphenyl)-9H-fluorene) to make the light-emitting polymers with high stereoregularity. And we find that the stereoregularity of polystyrene can be controlled by stereospecific polymerization of styrene using stereoregular coordination complexes as the polymerization catalysts like Zieglar-Natta and metallocene.
