The design of a Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) fed Hybrid Electromagnetic Mode (HEM) cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna (CDRA) array at 24 GHz in travelling wave mode propagation is proposed in this paper. A 1:2 Y junction power divider is designed to feed the CDRA through transverse slots. Each arm of the power divider has two slots over which the CDRAs are mounted. The $\mathbf{2}\times \mathbf{2}$ prototype, designed using 3D EM simulation software ANSYS HFSS, yields a maximum realized gain of 9.6 dBi with a bandwidth of 4.5 GHz. The prototype is designed as unit element for the application of collision avoidance in automotive radars.
