Nuclear power heating can effectively alleviate the haze problem caused by coal-fired heating. The participation of nuclear power in peak shaving can alleviate the pressure of power grid peak shaving, help improve the level of power supply guarantee and solve the contradiction between heating and peak shaving. Therefore, the development of nuclear power plays an irreplaceable role in breaking through resource and environmental bottlenecks and achieving green and low-carbon development in China. This article analyzes the demand and feasibility of nuclear power participating in grid peak shaving, introduces three thermoelectric decoupling methods of nuclear power secondary loop heat pump coupling, electric boiler coupling, and heat storage device coupling, and compares and analyzes the three thermoelectric decoupling methods from the perspectives of cost, energy storage, and flexibility in thermoelectric load adjustment.
