Upon the invention of dual-core microcontroller unit (MCU), the time tick interrupt of the µC/OS-II real time operation system can be processed by the coprocessor inside the MCU to improve the real-time performance of µC/OS-II. The frequency of the time tick interrupt can also be increased to achieve more precise delay-time resolution.
