Cancellation of pulse walk-off in Raman amplifiers via slow light

We theoretically demonstrate in an optical fibre system that Raman pulse walk-off can be cancelled by Raman-induced slow light, leading to group-velocity matching and to an enhanced Raman gain efficiency.
