In this paper, the nonlinear optical modulation characteristics and optical switch capabilities of Sb2Se3 were demonstrated with a 2 µm mode-locked fiber laser. The central wavelength was 1961.35 nm, and the 3-dB bandwidth was 4.57 nm. The pulses repetition rate was 22.36 MHz, and the pulse width was 890 fs. The experimental results demonstrated that Sb2Se3 had promising future in generating ultrashort pulses.
