By this year National Research and Innovation (BRIN) will deploy Indonesia Cable Based Tsunameter (INA-CBT) in Rokatenda, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia. INA-CBT system has a function to detect tsunami events by installing the submarine cable integrated with the Ocean Bottom Unit (OBU). OBUs are connected to a dedicated specific core for each OBU to the Landing Station (LS). INA- CBT systems were designed by using ring topology and TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) technology. To evaluate the ring topology performance when the failover dan failback event occurs, in this paper we measure the failover time as well as failback time to calculate the duration for each process with different scenarios. Also, we calculate accelerometer data packet loss during the event from each OBUs. We discover that the RK-MANTA ring topology reaches the expected results, where the failover duration average is 262.521 ms and the failback duration average is 107.660ms. Ring topology system design in RK-MANTA shows good performance during failback and failover and complies with the criteria of INA-CBT data transmission requirements
