Acquiring, preserving, integrating, and secure sharing of records related to healthcare is a difficult task for both patients and healthcare professionals. Anyone should be able to view their medical history, manage their information from anywhere in the world, and should provide access to data, and safely exchange such with any healthcare provider. In this regard, blockchain can be considered as an efficient technology which has gained significant attention in the field of healthcare over the past decade. However, it require some improvements such as secure data sharing and efficient data management for the healthcare. Therefore, this paper provides an effective mechanism based on blockchain which can be utilized in the healthcare sector to overcome these issues. The key objective of proposed model is to enable patient use of the data in order to support their care and to provide a strong consent mechanisms for creation and sharing of data between different organizations and applications. The proposed model is based on the principle that this combination of event-driven smart contracts, medical record data, and off chain data storage which is important for the adoption of blockchain-based solutions for healthcare. The results evaluated exhibits that proposed blockchain enable model has shown satisfactory performance in the field of healthcare.
