A quasi-Yagi antenna with pattern reconfigurable anti-interference feature is proposed in this paper. By controlling the PIN diodes located at the dividing boundary between the first- and third-order mode of the dipole, the effective electrical length is changed, which enables the dipole to work in different modes for pattern reconfiguration. The difference of the radiation patterns of the first- and third-order mode allows switching between two different scenarios subject to or not subject to interference for anti-interference. The proposed antenna is well-designed and carefully researched using simulation software. The simulation results show that the antenna has pattern reconfigurable anti-interference characteristics and is expected to be used for 5G wireless communication applications.
