Cataract is the most common cause of global blindness. Early detection and grading of cataract helps reduce the vision loss. Clinical grading of cataract is subjective and time consuming process but it has a vital role in treatment planning for cataract patients. Automatic detection and grading of cataract greatly improved the health care services for the cataract patients. A number of medical imaging techniques and methods have been developed in past few years for automatic diagnosis of cataract, but the need of fully automated clinical grading system for early cataract detection still exist. With this demand, we have proposed an integrated framework for clinical grading of cataract. The aim of the framework is to integrate a set of standard grading protocols for accurate and improved diagnosis of cataract on the basis of its severity levels. It provides an easy to use and flexible software application framework for the organization and analysis of clinical grading of cataract.
