5G and Edge Computing might sound to very different technology but they aim solve the same problem. In the sense the end goal of both the technology is same that is to provide end user with reducing latency and quick response from their respective devices. 5G on one hand promises to deliver improved speed by increasing it to 10 times of the existing technology (4g). Whereas edge computing aims to reduce the latency by providing computation capabilities to end devices itself while also reducing the bandwidth in the process. Instead of making it obsolete it will improve upon In this research paper features of both 5G and edge computing is discussed. Talking advantage of both technologies' simultaneously integrating with one another will boost their effect and make up for their shortcomings.
