AIM: To compare the repeatability and agreement between different instruments on peripheral retina refractive error measurement. METHODS: Streak retinoscopy, Shin-Nippon K5001 Auto-refractor and Aberrometor(COAS)were used to measure 28 participants' central and peripheral retinal field refractive errors. RESULTS: Spherical equivalent value(M)were repeatable on Aberrometor and Shin-Nippon K5001 Auto-refractor(mean difference≤±0.10D),with poor repeatability on streak retinoscopy. There were good agreement between Aberrometor and Shin-Nippon K5001 Auto-refractor measurements. CONCLUSION: Aberrometor and Shin-Nippon K5001 Auto-refractor both are valid tools for the central and peripheral refractive error measurement.
