Highlights The factors affecting electrophysiological recordings from active micro-nano-collaborative bioelectronic devices were discussed in terms of principle and fabrication. An overview of the applications of active micro-nano-collaborative bioelectronic devices in cardiomyocytes and neurons was further presented. The challenges faced by active micro-nano-collaborative bioelectronic devices in intracellular electrophysiological studies and their prospective biomedical applications are discussed.
