To study the effect of different concentrations of selenium enriched green tea on hypertension induced by high salt diet in 8-week-old Wistar rats. The results showed that:after drinking tea water extract for 8 weeks, the systolic blood pressure on rats was decreased by 1.20 kPa and 2.80 kPa at low and high doses, respectively. The contents of α-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase and lactate dehydrogenase in serum were decreased by tea extract. The histological morphological characteristics of heart and kidney were observed by hematoxylin eosin (HE) staining. The results showed that the low-dose and high-dose groups could improve myocardial hypertrophy, tissue disorder and renal tubular structure damage, and the effect of high-dose group was more significant. Conclusion:Se enriched green tea can effectively alleviate the increase of blood pressure and improve the tissue structure damage of heart and kidney in rats fed with high salt diet.We can further to develop the corresponding functional food to play its health effect.
