Hydrogels are hydrophilic polymers that retain large amounts of water intheir three-dimensional polymeric structures. Ordinary hydrogels wereprogressively exchanged by artificial types due to their huge waterabsorption ability. The discovery of hydrogel plays a significant role inthe biomedical field without any hazard. Hydrogel has many applications inthe biomedical field such as bone tissue engineering, drug delivery, insulindelivery, nanomedicine, personal care products, contact lenses, foodpackaging, and agriculture setup. Although the use of hydrogels isexceedingly high, this chapter covers a few miscellaneous applications ofhydrogels in biomedicals, foods, agriculture, and catalysis.
