Due to environmental damage caused by using and disposing of plastics, the use of traditional composites is becoming mainstream with the development of biodegradable, environment friendly, and high-strength composite materials. In this context, terms such as sustainable composite have been applied to the manufacturing of the materials so that nature-friendly composites can be developed. The present chapter explains the several principles of the production of sustainable composite materials for multiple applications. The broad arena of manufacturing sciences has been explained to present the recent processes of development of the composites. The processes have also been explained in term of their principles of working, process characteristics, process parameters, and problems, which generally occur in working conditions. In most of the applications, the composites are developed for having good strength, high weight-to-stiffness ratio, cost, and performances in the applied arena. Hence, the study of the manufacturing process has been performed for the development of the abovementioned characteristics along with low cost of fabrication. Further, it is crucial to understand the parameters that could affect composite products. Composite manufacturing processes need to be cost-effective and should be able to produce composites with good quality. Manufacturing process technology has begun to advance, which increases the quality of the composite. Also, this chapter explains the basic principles of manufacturing process related to cost.
