The rapid development of cloud computing technology puts forward even higher demand for the construction of cloud data center. The traditional infrastructure is difficult to meet the requirement on for agility and scalability by the data center. The private cloud infrastructure based on SDDC(Software-Defined Data Center) extends the virtualization concept to all the data center resources and services, thus to provide abstraction, pooling, and automation of the computing/storage/networking infrastructure services, and at the same time provide a flexible, stable, speedy and standard solution for the enterprises, universities and research institutes. The newly-built data center in Qingdao Agricultural Univ. uses the VMware SDDC solution, and via VMware components, fuses the computing, storage, and network to an integrated software layer, thus to provide daily performance management, capacity optimization, cloud computing and other services for the managing personnel.
