利用氢氟酸(HF)腐蚀石英光纤法制备出微纳米光纤,并研究了微纳米光纤的光学特性.实验中,利用CCD和数据采集卡,对腐蚀中的石英光纤进行实时监控.结果发现,微纳米光纤的光功率损耗随直径的减小,而呈指数增加.通过OptiFDTD软件模拟微纳米光纤的电场矢量分布,发现随着直径减小,微纳米光纤的倏逝场越来越强.当微纳米光纤的直径与输入光波的波长相近时,光波几乎只沿着光纤的表面传播.结果表明,微纳米光纤具有制备简单、尺寸小、倏逝场大等优良特性,在传感器等领域具有很好的应用前景.
Micro/nano fiber can be obtained by corrosion of optical fiber using hydrofluoric acid (HF) and its optical property is studied.In this work,a CCD and a data acquisition card are used for monitoring the corrosion of optical fiber in real time.The results of experiment have showed that the optical power loss of micro/nano fiber increases exponentially with the decrease of diameter.The mode fields of micro/nano fibers are analyzed by OptiFDTD software.It is found that the evanescent optical field of micro/nano fiber increases with the decrease of the diameter.When the ratio between the fiber diameter and the incident wavelength is smaller,the light wave mainly propagates in the surface of optical fiber.The results show that the micro/nano fiber affords several advantages,such as simple sample preparation,small size,large evanescent optical field,which has the alluring foreground of application in the field of sensors.
