An archaeological watching brief was conducted at All Saints Church, Patcham, East Sussex NGR 530224 109074, between the 15th and 16th February 2017. A continuous service trench measuring c.32m in length was excavated through footpaths in the churchyard. Grave cuts were encountered, cut through a disturbed weathered chalk deposit, but the burial horizon was not achieved and no human remains or archaeological deposits were encountered.
